EMERALD
It is said that the ancients associated Emerald with the Greek goddess Venus, the goddess of love and beauty and it was to protect lovers from unfaithfulness. If the heart was loyal, the gem would glow in a beautiful green color, but if the heart was gone astray, it would turn a different, lifeless color. Emerald has a calming effect on emotions, it has an invigorating effect on thought, reflection, and philosophy. It is a marvelous crystal for activating artistic creativity, and for bringing focus and intensity to one’s lifework.
It is a soft and gentle healer. It gently balances the energies of the spirit. Emerald gemstone may encourage one to live and act from the heart, offering unconditional love and compassion in daily life and relationships. Some people wear Emeralds so they will be open to receive love from others. Emerald is a wonderful emotional healer allowing us to display compassion and a caring nature without fear of vulnerability. It is a strong heart healer and can assist the physical heart in recovering from all manner of imbalances or diseases.
Relationships: Brings security in love.
Healing: Emerald is best known as a stone of both spiritual love and spiritual healing, and is the stone most frequently recommended for the "wounded healer," healers who take on their clients' issues or who don't focus enough on their own healing.
Creativity: It is also a crystal related to abundance and creativity.
Truth: This is a truth promoting stone, inspiring deep “Heart” knowing from
within.
Career: Keep an Emerald in your workspace. It improves your memory & increases your mental skills. The gem brings greater attention, allowing you to see the best solutions and giving you the tools you need to overcome challenges & motivates you to act.
Emeralds are one of my favorite gemstones to mix with Diamonds in yellow or white Gold due to the contrast in colors. When set in Gold some gem dealers in the Far East say it brings the wearer love, hope, wisdom and courage while it guards from unfaithfulness. There is a belief that an Emerald will fall apart if one of the spouses is unfaithful to another.
